Strength Training and Onion Rings
Yesterday evening I engaged in a very unadvisable activity - alternating a DQ oreo brownie earthquake and onion rings with Total Body Sculpt by Gilad. After work I came home starving, with half the sundae already devoured, and turned on the tv as usual. Well, I had originally planned on working out to Total Body Sculpt on FitTv when I got home, but as it had already started, I just decided to do the lazy couch potato thing and watch the workout from the comfort of my futon. Well, as I was watching it, I thought, "hey, this seems like a good workout. Maybe when I finish my sundae I'll catch up while they take a commercial".... so that's what I did.. but then I had still had onion rings that I hadn't eaten... so I had to take a break to eat those.. but then the show was back on and I had to catch up again... and so the cycle continued. Now I don't know if you've ever caught any of Gilad's programs, but he is one buff dude. Since he already has the accent, you can easily imagine him saying, "I'm going to pump you up!" His workouts are not meant to make you lean, but to "sculpt" you to his likeness. Needless to say, when I was finished with the onion rings and his body crunching workout, I felt like I was going to vomit, confirming that indeed this was not a good idea. So if you're ever devouring a bagful of junkfood and decide on a whim to do an intense workout right at that second.. I'd advise you to take another second and think about what you're doing :D
